RGH Video Blog: RGH 100 – 3 Keys to Success for NGOs

Welcome to Realizing Global Health. My name is Dr. Elvira Beracochea and I am the president and CEO of Realizing Global Health. This is the Global Health Video Class where we talk about important topics that will make a big impact in what you do every day. Today, I want to talk about a very special program we have. We call it RGH 100. I believe nonprofit organizations and other organizations working in global health in developing countries can really benefit from this program. Why? This program addresses three important challenges: effectiveness, efficiency and leadership. We want to create leaders – so I am going to talk about that first.

We want to create leaders in developing countries because we want to empower them to see that they can do just as well as we do. There is no difference between us and them—we are all in this together. We just have more knowledge and experience that we want to share with them. We want them to be the people that when they see a problem or a need, they don’t wait for someone else to take care of it—they are empowered to do it themselves. They take initiative and are proactive. That kind of leadership needs to be nurtured from the very beginning. Our program shows, by allowing them to achieve an important milestone every 10 days (for a total of 100 days), how they can get experience and really learn how to be a leader. They will learn how to be an effective and efficient leader. We show them how they can really do better with the resources they already have. We show them how they can make use of these resources and do it efficiently to be more effective and make a bigger impact.

NGOs really need to create that capacity so they can really take their mission to the next level. That’s what we are going to help you with in our program RGH 100. It’s the program that helps you put all of those systems into place in just 100 days by measuring milestones every 10 days. These milestones are measurable, attainable and will really help you see your progress towards making a big impact.

I hope you join me at the next webinar so we can talk more about how RGH 100 can help you really take your mission, your projects, and your results to the next level! See you next time!
