We Have a New Name!

We Have a New Name!

We Have a New Name!

For 10 years, I have worked very hard along with a great technical team at MIDEGO, to deliver effective global health solutions. During that time, MIDEGO has developed effective and sustainable solutions, proven strategic global health approaches and innovative online training programs to clients in more than 50 countries.

This year, I made a very important decision to change our name to “Realizing Global Health”, RGH for short. This decision is grounded upon my commitment to go beyond the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by continuing to provide effective global health consulting services and solutions. Realizing Global Health (RGH) evolved from the spirit of the MDGs as a response to my continuous belief that we already have the tools and knowledge to provide quality healthcare to everyone every day everywhere. We now only need to build upon what already exists in global health, and develop sustained capacity within each country’s basic health systems; starting at both the delivery level in the community and at the governance level.

As Realizing Global Health, I am still committed to delivering lasting results. In this letter I want to promise to you that for the next 10 years, I strive to improve the health system and how health providers and managers work so they can save more lives and develop their countries, and become independent of foreign help. The main goal of the tools and approaches RGH uses is to maximize effectiveness, sustainability and the return on every dollar our clients have invested. I will focus on growing several programs, particularly the “Give me 100 days and I will give you a healthier community” program that changes the healthcare delivery model and provides a clear sustainable exit strategy for the funding agencies to continue raising the bar and achieve more.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Elvira Beracochea
